The ART Station in Stone Mountain, Georgia is a contemporary arts center which is home to a theater company, 5 art galleries, a children’s gallery, a gift shop, classrooms and more. In 1987, the old Trolley Car barn was purchased and the dream to create a non profit arts center was realized. Now there is an abundance of programs available in every aspect of art including: Professional Equity Theatre Company, Winter and Spring classes for adults and children, Summer arts camp for youth, Performance company for youth and for teens, outreach programs, productions in the Children’s Theatre, an annual storytelling festival, and fundraising events throughout the year.

Coming up February 9 – 19, 2012 is an improv show called, “Name that Show”. Seasoned improvisational performers will improvise situations based on audience suggestions. Be prepared to laugh at the hilarious results.

Glass Studio Date Night

Are you looking for something different to do on a date? How about trying a date night at the Siyeh Glass Studio. This unique evening offers either glass blowing, making a plate or a bowl with kilnforming, or beadmaking. In 2 hours each person can make 2 to 3 glassblowing projects, or 1 large bowl or plate, or many beads. You don’t have to have any experience, just come in and have some fun. For $145 per couple, you get all the tools and materials to make the project of your choice, drinks such as wine, beer, or non alcoholic beverages, and snacks such as cheese and crackers, pita and hummus, fruit and chocolate. Come play in the snow at Snow Mountain in Stone Mountain Park now through March 6! Located on the laser lawn with acres of fresh snow daily, you can spend hours tubing, throwing snowballs, making snow angels and much more! There are 2 lifts available to take you to the top of the tubing hill, a play area where you can make a snowman, shoot snowballs, dig tunnels or construct a fort.
